Brown & Brown is seeking an Employee Benefits Client Account Manager to join our growing team in Rye Brook, NY. Reporting to Employee Benefits Team Leader, the Account Manager’s primary responsibility includes to independently provide the work client deliverables to each client and to become a trusted advisor to the client. Additional duties include support of the Sales team as required. How You Will Contribute: Collaborate with account executive to ensure client receipt of all Work-Client Deliverables Works independently in providing day to day overall customer satisfaction and proactive service response Responsible for managing and executing work product protocols including compliance requirements Actively apply industry knowledge both internally (through Benchmarking analysis) and independently Active team player with professional demeanor, supporting all of Client Management Ability to work independently for day to day servicing of each client. General understanding of all funding arrangements (Fully Insured, Level-Funded, Self-Funded) General understanding of client financials & client compliance requirement Effectively and efficiently manages client specific projects, in conjunction with Account Executive Willingness and ability to support client and Account Specialist in claim & eligibility management Strong presentation skills and professionalism, in support of Account Executive Client Lead on accounts under 100 Full-Time-Equivalent employees (assumption that claims are not available) Development and accuracy of Client Communication materials for Open Enrollment as well as throughout the year Effectively implement, manage and apply various client-support vendors, ie; Compliance, FSA, HRA, HAS, or other outsourced vendors Overall support and accountability for client retention Responsible to update and maintain accuracy of agency management system Perform other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Licensed L & H Insurance Brokers License
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a business or financial related discipline (preferred)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in employee benefits; as a consultant, carrier claims/account manager or in human resources
  • Candidate must have excellent organizational skills, an ability to multitask and flexibility to handle a fast paces environment
  • Provide support and possibly lead portions of group presentations
  • Experience with benefit administration platforms, HRIS, eligibility & claims advocacy
  • Candidate must be proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Must be experienced in using the internet and utilizing online systems
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills are required
