About The Position
The Employee Benefits Analyst II is responsible for analyzing information and creating financial deliverables for clients with less complex benefit programs. This role involves financial analytics for predominantly fully insured clients, with some self-funded clients, typically serving those with 100 to 250 lives. The analyst will prepare standard analyses with minimal customization, including market review analysis, renewal rate and funding projections, claims utilization analysis, rate and contribution analysis, claims experience reports, benchmarking, and financial funding analysis with guidance. The position also requires developing alternative strategies, plan modeling, and cost reduction opportunities, as well as performing technical analysis of group insurance contracts and financial arrangements. The analyst will serve as the primary contact with insurance carriers for marketing coverage for new business quotes and renewals, develop and maintain excellent carrier relationships, and analyze claims experience data to identify financial performance conclusions. Additionally, the role includes writing client-facing executive summaries, preparing written correspondence for carriers and clients, participating in the peer review process, and keeping current on industry information, technology, and trends.
