Insurance is licensed in all fifty (50) states. The Employee Benefits Account Manager will be responsible for acting as the main point of contact for Employee Benefits customers. Uses a collaborative mindset, analytical skills, and desire for constant improvement to ensure policy renewal and new business processes are managed for all assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Hold a valid Texas General Lines Life, Accident & Health license.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in Employee Benefits Account Management
  • Must possess a professional demeanor
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality both for the client and for the company
  • Intermediate to advanced-level proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to learn and regularly use the agency management software.
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients at all levels.
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and meets timed deadlines.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures set forth by the agency.
  • Ability to problem solve

Responsibilities

  • Manage the collection and preparation of census data for all new and renewal RFPs.
  • Review and analyze client & policy information in order to prepare RFP’s for new business and renewals.
  • Track submitted RFP’s until the quote(s) have been received, discuss results and recommendations with producer and/or client.
  • Guide clients through carrier applications, review received paperwork, submit to carrier, and track underwriting process through to completion, escalating any problems to the insurance carrier.
  • Maintain Client records, filing client emails in Outlook, and documenting and maintaining policy information in our company’s agency management software (Applied Epic).
  • Prepare Cancellation letters when coverage is rewritten or as otherwise notified by client, and document in Epic.
  • Document client policies and correspondence within the agency management software according to department procedures.
  • Assist clients in complying with applicable government regulations such as ERISA wrap, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA Admin, PCORI fees, RxDC, Gag attestation, and Section 125.
  • Prepare and send any and all Open Enrollment materials to clients, including annual employee notices, SBC’s, enrollment forms, network lookup information, and benefit summaries.
  • When directed by Producer, attend client consultations and enrollment meetings on-site to assist with employee questions and enrollments.
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare changes and applicable federal and state benefit regulations to advise clients on their compliance duties.
  • Maintain familiarity with individual carrier products and requirements.
  • Main point of contact for all service-related requests, including, but not limited to, Employee Enrollments Employee Terminations Coverage Questions Claims requests ID Card retrievals Billing Issues
  • Provide backup and support for other team members.
  • Any other tasks as directed by Producers or department manager.
