About The Position

As an Account Manager in our Group Benefits department, you will be responsible for managing large employer accounts and delivering strategic health and welfare initiatives. Your role will involve managing benefit programs brokered by Henderson Brothers, ensuring proactive service to meet client needs, and co-developing strategic plans for health management and data analytics. You will also be tasked with creating accurate communication materials for clients and expanding your knowledge of employer healthcare plans through continuing education.

Requirements

• High School Diploma required.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Life, Accident, and Health License preferred (must obtain within 90 days post-hire).
• 3+ years of employee benefits account management or human resources experience with an employee benefits focus.
• Intermediate knowledge of employee health and welfare plans.
• Clear understanding of life, accident, and health insurance policies and policy management.
• Experience or exposure to health management strategic planning.
• Base knowledge of health insurance underwriting and self-funded terminology and philosophies.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• CEBS, GBA, PHR, or SHRM-CP/SCP Designation preferred.
• Exposure to Epic or Applied Solutions is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing service needs of assigned large employer book of business.
• Deliver proactive and heroic service to meet the needs of clients.
• Co-develop and manage client strategic plans and initiatives.
• Develop accurate and concise materials for client resources.
• Expand and maintain working knowledge of employer healthcare plans and regulatory compliance.
