DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 1. Review and evaluate all health record documentation for hires and inform of additional information. 2. Perform all new hire physicals and drug screens following policy and procedure. 3. Perform QA activities as designated by Employee Wellness Manager. This includes trending infectious illnesses and report out monthly on trends. Must be able to track outbreaks and follow protocol/policy and work closely with ID doctor to maintain the health and wellness of exposed staff. 4. Assist with annual Tb Skin testing program, fit testing, annual flu vaccine program and other mandatory and elective immunizations. 5. Communicate with management health record information needs. 6. Maintain confidentiality of employee health information through telephone calls, correspondence, records, typed materials and other documents by observing all HIPPA guidelines for private medical information. 7. Participates in various committees and community programs. Serve as a representative of the Employee Wellness Department on hospital committees and task forces as assigned. 8. Prepare and submit monthly reports of current activities and projects. Maintain employee records and track/trend needed immunizations. 9. Performs office duties as assigned including office phone coverage, maintaining supplies, and ordering vaccinations. 10. Teaches educational classes as assigned such as General Orientation, N95 training, and supervisor training for BFI. 11. Attends departmental meetings as required. 12. Assist in reviewing and revising policies and procedures specific to Employee Wellness issues. 13. Responsible for complying with and enforcing all established and departmental policies and procedures. 14. Assists in planning and performing initial and annual N-95 fit testing on designated staff. Track and trend staff compliance. 15. Act as mental health liaison to encourage appropriate professional help during crisis and noncrisis situations. Direct to appropriate resources as needed. 16. Act as back up to ADA and FMLA processes to workman's comp liaison. 17. Follows North Oaks Health System's compliance programs and all federal and state regulatory guidelines. 18. Other duties as assigned by manager.
