About The Position

The Case Manager I position at Asian Counseling and Referral Service (ACRS) focuses on providing culturally competent case management and employment services to job seekers, particularly those who speak Vietnamese. The role aims to assist individuals in achieving self-sufficiency through holistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approaches. The Case Manager will work within the Employment & Citizenship department, ensuring compliance with agency policies and regulatory standards while fostering community engagement and support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or social/behavioral science, or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of social service experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Ability to provide culturally responsive care and services.
  • Knowledge of local labor market conditions and community resources.
  • Effective computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Asian languages is preferred.
  • Experience in direct service to diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments with clients addressing various life domains.
  • Develop and implement individualized employment plans based on client strengths.
  • Provide individual employment counseling and assess client progress.
  • Assist clients in job search activities, including resume development and interview preparation.
  • Advocate for clients and coordinate access to support services and training programs.
  • Provide follow-up case management to ensure job retention and satisfaction for both clients and employers.
  • Prepare accurate program documentation and maintain complete case files.
  • Perform outreach functions in the community to explain program policies and services.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employers to develop job placement opportunities.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and consultations as required.
