The EMO Shift Maintenance Team Leader leads and performs maintenance activities for the Primary End during the assigned shift. This role is the primary maintenance contact for Operations and is responsible for executing maintenance work in support of production, safety, and reliability goals. The Maintenance Team Leader works alongside mechanical and electrical personnel to complete planned and unplanned work, supports troubleshooting and repairs, and ensures maintenance activities are performed safely, documented correctly, and communicated effectively.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate welding/electrical testing equipment/hand tools/electric hand tools/pneumatic hand tools/conduit benders/threading machines/hydraulic rams and gear pullers
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy industrial Maintenance experience
  • Experience leading Maintenance jobs and projects
  • Experience scheduling people and equipment
  • A high level of written and oral communication skills
  • A good understanding of production planning and maintenance systems
  • Mid to high-level computer skills
  • Experience in working with employees using a team concept
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the maintenance contact for Operations and lead maintenance activities for the Primary End during the assigned shift.
  • Lead and assist mechanical and electrical personnel in responding to equipment breakdowns and completing preventive maintenance.
  • Prioritize and balance breakdown work with planned maintenance activities.
  • Perform hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance work as needed.
  • Address emergent maintenance issues and make real-time decisions to support safe and reliable operation during the shift.
  • Ensure accurate labor charging, work order completion, documentation quality, and identification of follow-up work in the CMMS.
  • Coordinate and oversee embedded and outside contractors.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are performed in compliance with site policies, approved safe job procedures, maintenance standards, and OSHA requirements.
  • Identify follow-up work and communicate labor, material, and tooling needs to planners and management.
  • Support effective shift turnover by communicating equipment status and outstanding maintenance issues.
  • Attend all scheduled maintenance training.
  • Monitor and coach team members on specific timely issues and concerns.
  • Attend safety classes and monthly safety meetings, as needed.
  • Conduct or attend safety meetings as required.
  • Conduct or attend crew meetings as required.
  • Attend regular scheduled maintenance outage and down day meetings as required.
  • Help manage the implementation of all applicable company and commercial standards such as: ISO Department SOPs OSHA
