As an Emissions Technician , you will be responsible for assisting the Company in maintaining compliance with Local, State, and Federal air emissions laws. You will perform and document emissions tests using a portable analyzer and be a resource for other personnel in matters pertaining to emissions and engine performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general degree (GED)
  • Minimum of three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Natural gas engine Compressor Service experience
  • Experience with modern engines and compressors used in the natural gas industry
  • The ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Basic math skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and reasoning abilities

Responsibilities

  • Performs periodic emissions tests. Responsible for following the testing schedule set forth by the Regulatory Department.
  • Coordinates with customers regarding compliance emissions tests performed by third party testers. Assists with the test as appropriate.
  • Diagnoses engine conditions and adjust and/or repair as necessary to achieve satisfactory performance both during and between emissions tests.
  • Maintains testing equipment including calibrations and maintenance; includes maintaining sufficient calibration gasses.
  • Trains other team members regarding engine adjustment and performance. Assists service technicians.
