About The Position

The EMIC Band Director supports the EMIC Director of Music in leading and coordinating all aspects of spirit-led, faith-building worship arts across the EMIC campus. This includes music, drama, dance, visual arts, and other creative expressions of worship. The ideal candidate embraces a blended/convergence worship style that is visionary, flexible, diverse, and aligned with the Heritage of Faith of Kenneth Copeland Ministries.

Requirements

  • Bible School or College degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of praise and worship leadership.
  • Minimum 5 years of administrative/supervisory experience.
  • Full-time pastoral/ministry experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead congregational worship and manage teams.
  • High-level musical and vocal proficiency.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in keyboard or other instruments (preferred).
  • Ability to read music and assist with arrangements.
  • Music and ear training (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to urgent situations.
  • Visionary, proactive, and self-motivated with a spirit of excellence.
  • Born again believer and must adhere to this organization's doctrines as upheld by Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and their appointed representatives.
  • Must work well with others, as a team and according to Romans 16:17, must not cause dissension, difficulties and divisions
  • Must maintain a good attendance record
  • Because of the wide range of personal contact with ministry leaders within and outside the organization, this position requires considerable diplomacy, maturity, and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with people of all cultures

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Music to lead music and worship arts teams across EMIC, KCM, and KCBC.
  • Assist in developing and expanding campus-wide worship programs for all age groups.
  • Provide musical leadership for adult worship services and special events.
  • Oversee music programming for conferences, special events, and monthly demographic services.
  • Lead musical flow for prayer meetings and chapel services.
  • Cultivate and maintain healthy relationships with volunteer and contracted musicians.
  • Serve as a primary instrumentalist and producer for musical productions.
  • Write, orchestrate, and execute original music for services and media.
  • Develop bands and provide instruction for children, youth, and young adults.
  • Support KCM meetings with musical leadership and coordination.
  • Provide musical support for choir and praise team rehearsals and clinics.
  • Teach music theory and instrumentation fundamentals in technical school settings.
  • Lead music for memorial/homegoing services and community outreach events.
  • Maintain and schedule tuning/repairs for church instruments, including organ and piano.
  • Attend weekly staff and worship planning meetings.
  • Assist in planning and executing seasonal concerts (e.g., Christmas, Easter).
  • Coordinate hiring, training, and development of music teams for church planting efforts.
  • Collaborate with Student Ministries Music Minister to recruit and train worship leaders.
  • Support visiting ministers with appropriate musical arrangements.
  • Manage scheduling, rehearsals, and preparation of music charts and lyrics for services.
  • Contribute to television and network productions, including writing music for spots, opens, and programming.
  • Provide musical and artistic oversight for worship arts teams campus-wide.
  • Lead, organize, train, and evaluate staff, students, and volunteers in worship arts.
  • Travel to ministry sites as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Operate with discernment and sound judgment with minimal supervision.
