About The Position

Perform EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) tests and measurements of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and subsystems using standard and precision measurement instrumentation for the EMI department. EMI: Electromagnetic Interference tests/measurements of electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and subsystems using standard and precision measurement instrumentation.

Requirements

Under General supervision; can perform certain recurring work independently
Regular interaction with clients
Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
Able to troubleshoot and rework standard tests
Advanced understanding of DMM, Oscope, power supplies; understanding of RF measurement techniques and the use of various RF measurement instruments (specifically Spectrum Analyzers, EMI Receivers, Network Analyzers, EMI receivers, Power Meters); working knowledge of basic safety practices
Able to use all standard EMI equipment; able to accurately capture necessary data; able to use TILE (Total Integrated Laboratory Environment) test software; able to construct AC/DC circuits; basic MS Office skills
HS Diploma or GED.
2-6 Years of experience

Nice To Haves

Technical Certification, AA or AS in Electronics/Electrical preferred.

Responsibilities

Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
Other - Perform other duties as assigned
