About The Position

As an EEG Technician with Austin Diagnostic Clinic, you will perform testing to measure and record electrical activity of the brain. You will be part of an organization that is devoted to giving back, having invested over 156,000 hours volunteering in communities last year. The role involves preparing patients for EEG procedures, applying electrodes, performing standard EEG recording procedures, calibrating and adjusting EEG apparatus, and delivering EEGs to physicians for interpretation. You will also maintain records, order supplies, schedule pacemaker monitoring, and assist physicians with related tests.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of EEG experience.
  • CPR certification preferred.
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in all EEG diagnostic testing.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
  • Skill in performing a wide range of tests as directed, writing reports and completing records.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patient for EEG by explaining procedures.
  • Applies electrodes and checks their performance.
  • Performing standard EEG recording procedures.
  • Calibrates and adjusts EEG apparatus.
  • Delivering EEGs to physicians for interpretation.
  • Maintaining records, files, and tracing information.
  • Ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Scheduling and completing pacemaker monitoring, and contacting patients if monitoring is not done.
  • Maintaining pacemaker files.
  • Assisting physicians related tests.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Must read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
  • Practice and adhere to the Code of Conduct and Mission and Value Statement.
