About The Position

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Technician to join our rapidly growing emergency company. Our mission is to provide exceptional care to pets and their owners during critical times, and we are committed to revolutionizing emergency medicine with a customer-first mentality. At VEG, we prioritize creating a supportive and employee-centric work environment, ensuring that our team members feel safe, secure, and valued. We are proud to have the highest Net Promoter Score (NPS) in our industry, reflecting our commitment to both our customers and our employees. As a nominee for INC Magazine's Best Places to Work, we strive to be the employer of choice for the best and brightest in the emergency veterinary field. In this role, you will apply a patient-centered approach while performing treatments, making patient assessments, and engaging in all aspects of patient care. You will have the opportunity to promote your learning and growth as an emergency veterinary technician, with pathways towards obtaining a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) certification. You will work autonomously, utilizing critical thinking and leadership skills to implement patient treatment plans in collaboration with the veterinary team. Your passion for animal care and your ability to adapt to new scenarios will be essential in providing the highest level of care to our patients. As a Veterinary Technician at VEG, you will be responsible for treating each patient and customer with compassion and care. You will perform a variety of nursing care tasks, monitor patients, and administer medications while understanding the potential adverse effects. You will also set up and manage intravenous fluid therapy, contribute to outpatient and inpatient care, and participate in patient rounds to ensure continuity of care. Your role will include performing advanced techniques such as anesthesia management, vascular access, and diagnostic procedures, all while coaching and guiding veterinary assistants and nurses to maintain high standards of care. We are looking for someone who is eager to collaborate with teammates and share knowledge to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
