We’re looking for a highly skilled, experienced team member who is confident in their technical abilities, including: Phlebotomy (efficient, confident blood draws, even in critical patients) Advanced medical math (accurate CRIs, fluid additives, and drug dosing) Critical patient care (ICU-level monitoring, triage, and case management) CPR participation (RECOVER knowledge and ability to perform during high-stress codes) Advanced anesthesia and surgical monitoring (ETCO₂, BP, ECG, anesthesia depth, troubleshooting) Surgical support (induction, intubation, and peri-operative care) You communicate effectively across diverse teams, know when to ask for help, and bring a positive, team-first attitude. You’re comfortable in a high-volume setting and able to think quickly, act decisively, and support those around you. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO Treat each patient and customer with the highest level of compassion and care Perform basic to advanced nursing care tasks, patient monitoring, and treatments Use understanding of common diseases, physical assessment, and monitoring parameters to accurately triage incoming patients Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications and understand potential adverse effects Set up, monitor, and administer IV fluid therapy, including CRIs and blood transfusions Provide hands-on support for critical patients, including ICU-level monitoring and ongoing management Participate in CPR efforts as a RECOVER-trained team member Collect samples and perform diagnostic testing, including in-house lab work and imaging Assist in anesthesia and surgical procedures, including induction, intubation, monitoring, and recovery support Perform nursing care tasks such as urinary catheter placement, oxygen therapy, and advanced patient support Work collaboratively with licensed veterinary technicians and doctors as part of a high-performing ER team Participate in rounds to ensure continuity of care Grow through guided training pathways, including opportunities in leadership, training, and community outreach Veterinary Assistants can additionally (where permitted by law): Administer, monitor, and maintain patients under general anesthesia with or without mechanical ventilation Perform advanced vascular access techniques (jugular, central lines, IO, arterial catheters) Perform advanced diagnostics such as ultrasonography and paracentesis Assist in developing treatment and anesthesia plans Grow into advanced roles including training, coordination of care, and leadership WHY YOU SHOULD CHOOSE US Because emergency is all we do, so we do it best!
