Care Center located in Cincinnati, OH is searching for a Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding Emergency team on first shift! Schedule: Full-Time | First Shift, 7:00am - 7:30pm | Rotating schedule | Week 1- Sun, Wed, Fri / Week 2 -Mon, Fri and Sat | On-call rotation required Pay Range: Competitive hourly rate: $20–$28/hour (based on experience) The Veterinary Technician Assistant supports the Veterinarians and Technicians in ensuring quality veterinary care for all patients, advocates for pets, provides client education to pet owners, and ensures a safe and efficient hospital environment. Requirements

  • Patient restraint skills including, but not limited to: behavioral assessment, safe handling of fractious patients
  • Able to maintain focus and work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Adept at problem solving
  • Basic computer skills
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • High school diploma, GED, or higher education
  • One year clinical experience
  • Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds unassisted
  • A team player with initiative and a can-do attitude
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable in challenging situations
  • Passionate about animal care and committed to professional growth
  • Skilled in communication and eager to contribute to a supportive team culture

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Provide pet owners with clear home-care instructions and updates on hospitalized pets
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless care
  • Ensure clean, safe, and efficient hospital operations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments
