The VCA Animal Specialty Group operates a 12,000 square foot remodeled facility featuring 3 operating rooms, 10 exam rooms, 4 large treatment areas, a dedicated feline ward, a centralized ICU for critically ill hospitalized patients, an isolation ward with exterior access, and two x-ray suites. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology including a 16-slice CT scanner, 1.5 T MR, C-arm fluoroscopy, video endoscopy, telemetry EKG, a NOVA point of care unit, in-house CBC and serum chemistry, 2 teaching microscopes, viscoelastic coagulation monitoring, 3 ultrasound machines, and high-flow nasal oxygen insufflation. The group offers specialties in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, boarded surgeons, oncology, radiology, and neurology. This is also a robust teaching facility that offers a challenging rotating internship program, clinical rotations for visiting 3rd and 4th-year veterinary students, and hosts regular didactic rounds, formal journal club, and regular CE events for referral veterinarians.
