BluePearl Specialty + Emergency Pet Hospital is proud to offer an Emergency Veterinarian training program called EmERge. Our EmERge program helps you obtain the skills and the confidence that you need in order to be a successful Emergency Veterinarian at one of our state-of-the-art hospitals. If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, we want to hear from you! The BluePearl EmERge Program is designed to give veterinary school graduates the necessary training to become successful Emergency Veterinarians. It is a full-time job from the very beginning, and we will prepare you for your first solo emergency shift at one of our BluePearl hospitals. The program combines online modules, interactive seminars, labs, mentoring, and hands-on practice experience. Not only will you receive valuable training from experienced Veterinarians, you will also be paid a salary from your first day. Who is it for? A graduate of an accredited veterinary school Individual with a sincere interest in becoming an Emergency Veterinarian A current Veterinarian looking for a career change. Please note that this program does not replace or substitute an internship which is required for application to a residency. Program Structure Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14): 4 Weeks of Bootcamp: A combination of virtual (Weeks 1-2) and in-person (Weeks 3-4) training to build foundational emergency medicine skills. 2 Weeks of Specialty Rotations: Gain exposure to various specialties to enhance your understanding and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. 8 Weeks of ER Shifts: Apply your training in a real-world setting under the mentorship of experienced emergency clinicians. Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32): Increased Responsibility: Transition to managing more complex cases with greater independence while still receiving guidance from mentors. ER Shift Focus: Work full shifts in the ER, continuing to develop critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment. Ongoing Mentorship: Regular check-ins with mentors to review cases, address challenges, and refine clinical skills. Exposure to Diverse Cases: Handle a variety of emergency cases to broaden expertise and build confidence in emergency medicine. Ongoing Didactics: Participate in a weekly webinar series designed to enhance your learning and keep you updated on the latest practices in emergency veterinary medicine. Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52): Independent Case Management: Take on full responsibility for managing emergency cases, showcasing confidence and competence in clinical decision-making. Continued Collaboration: Work alongside the hospital team to provide exceptional patient care while honing leadership and communication skills. Advanced Skill Application: Apply advanced diagnostic and procedural skills gained throughout the program to handle high-acuity cases. Mentor Support: Maintain access to mentor guidance as needed, ensuring continued growth and support. Ongoing Didactics: Participate in a weekly webinar series designed to enhance your learning and keep you updated on the latest practices in emergency veterinary medicine. The total commitment is two years, including the initial year of training. Compensation During the Program: Phase 1 (Weeks 1-14): $4615.38 bi-weekly (equivalent to $120,000 annually) Phase 2 (Weeks 15-32): $4615.38 bi-weekly (equivalent to $120,000 annually) Phase 3 (Weeks 33-52): Full salary plus production where applicable
