VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center (AVCC) is a 24-hour Emergency and Specialty hospital with a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team committed to practicing cutting-edge medicine. You’ll join a tenured group of 9 emergency doctors and specialists across Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, Surgery, Rehabilitation, and more—all dedicated to providing the most comprehensive patient care. Our 30,000 sq. ft. facility is fully equipped with advanced technology, including a 1.5 Tesla MRI, 64-Slice CT, linear accelerator, fluoroscopy, multiple ultrasound units, YAG laser, electrodiagnostic equipment, full endoscopy, and two underwater treadmills. With 16 exam rooms and dedicated diagnostic spaces, you’ll have the tools you need to provide exceptional care.   • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, from an accredited university or equivalent
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in (IN), or the ability to obtain
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

  • Surgical skills or eagerness to learn to expand ER surgical capabilities

Responsibilities

  • See a diverse and challenging caseload, including trauma and critical care
  • Handle acute illnesses such as respiratory distress, vomiting/diarrhea, or seizures
  • Manage toxicities and urgent metabolic disorders
  • Work on advanced imaging cases in collaboration with specialty departments
  • Practice advanced medicine and provide the best outcomes for patients with access to specialists, support, mentorship, and resources
