About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinarian for a hybrid role involving both Large and Small Animal care at Taylor Veterinary Emergency Hospital, the only 24-Hour Emergency Hospital in Stanislaus County. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality veterinary care. The role involves working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a focus on trauma cases and collaboration with local general practitioners for referrals and transfers.

Requirements

• Veterinarian degree (DVM) from an accredited college or university.
• Current State Veterinary License.
• DEA registration must be obtained and maintained.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary practice.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
• Excellent surgical and dental skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality veterinary care.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency veterinary care for both large and small animals.
• Perform surgical and dental procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients and local general practitioners regarding patient care and wait times.
• Collaborate with a team of veterinarians and support staff to ensure high-quality care.
• Participate in daily rounding and consultations on challenging cases.
