About The Position

Perform maintenance and repairs on Emergency Vehicles primarily, Pierce Fire Apparatus and Road Rescue Ambulances Accomplish repairs and perform services outlined in established technical manuals Perform inspection and repair on apparatus components Understand and follow technical manuals, lube orders, wiring and hydraulic schematics utilized during scheduled service intervals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment Perform major repair jobs by disassembling and cleaning parts, removing and installing components and removing and installing assemblies Utilizes diagnostic tools (both manual and electronic) to assess and evaluate required service/ repairs Continued training and certification

Requirements

• Certification as an Emergency Vehicle Technician (EVT) preferred
• Current Heavy Truck ASE certifications preferred
• Must be able to read, understand and follow technical manuals to ensure proper diagnosis and repair
• Proficient in the use of a personal computer and basic applications
• CDL preferred
