About The Position

Meritus Health's emergency room treats on average 200 patients a day. We are one of the busiest STEMI sites in the state and one of the busiest Level 3 Trauma centers in the region. The Emergency/Trauma Registered Nurse performs advanced nursing skills as part of the trauma team and supports delivery of special airways (circidectomy/tracheostomy), chest tubes, trauma lines, mass transfusion, Belmost rapid infuser, internal paddles, compartment syndrome, trauma cart maintenance, preservation of amputated parts, traction devices such as Hare traction. Requirements

• At least 3 years-experience as a RN in an emergency department/trauma center of at least 35 beds
• Requires BSN and current BLS and ACLS

Nice To Haves

• Emergency RN Certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Performs advanced nursing skills as part of the trauma team
