About The Position

The Emergency Technician plays a crucial role in the emergency team by providing direct patient care to enhance patient outcomes. This position involves assisting physicians and nurse practitioners during medical procedures, ensuring proper sterile techniques, and maintaining a supportive environment for patient care.

Requirements

• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
• Prevention and Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) certification annually upon hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience in patient care or clinical settings.
• Experience during certification or licensure process, military experience as medical personnel, or as a senior clinical nursing student is also considered.

Nice To Haves

• Current or previous EMT or Paramedic certification.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program or CNA certificate upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to optimize positive patient outcomes.
• Assist the physician/nurse practitioner during procedures by supplying appropriate sutures, supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Maintain proper sterile technique during medical procedures.
