As an ER Nurse at MGMC , you’ll be the crucial first point of contact for the people in our community during health emergencies, playing a vital role in their immediate care and recovery. Every day in emergency nursing brings a unique set of challenges. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly, prioritizing patients based on their medical necessity while providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients, performing tasks such as IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions. To excel as an ER nurse, you should embody teamwork, professionalism, and critical thinking skills. Your willingness to take on additional projects, such as patient experience initiatives, is highly valued. Requirements

  • Associate Of Nursing Nursing, upon hire or Diploma Nursing, upon hire or Bachelors Of Nursing Nursing, upon hire or Foreign Equivalent, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year emergency services or critical care experience
  • Experience in pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

  • Use emergency triage protocol to intake, discharge or admit patients.
  • Deliver stabilizing care to emergency patients of all ages as part of the larger ER team, adapting care to changes in patient’s condition as needed.
  • Use knowledge of cultural differences to provide patient care that is sensitive to and consistent with cultural values, beliefs, and customs.
  • Document the nursing care plan and changes in the patient's condition.
