What you will be doing: Deliver high-quality care to emergency and trauma-level patients Respond rapidly to critical changes and emergent situations Serve as a clinical resource to patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team Support evidence-based practice, patient experience, and quality standards Ensure safe, age-appropriate patient care is provided during hours of unit operation Act as a role model, advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team Monitor monthly operating expense performance of assigned department(s) with respect to annual budget and other targets Ensure appropriate hiring and provide a welcoming and supportive environment for new team members Champion the patient experience and commit to being relationship-focused Manage the performance and development of individuals and teams Direct, assign, and review work Provide input for disciplinary action, up to and including termination
