CLINICAL SUPERVISOR EMERGENCY SERVICES FULL TIME – EXEMPT Thrive Behavioral Health, the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic for Kent County, has been delivering mental health and substance use services since 1976. General Summary: Provide leadership, clinical supervision and oversight to case managers and other direct service staff as assigned. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in the human service field of social work or counseling required.
  • Independent license required.
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years emergency services experience.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

Responsibilities

  • Provide group and individual clinical/administrative supervision and leadership to Mobile Crisis team, co-responder, NEIT and court programs
  • Monitor the day-to-day activities of assigned team members
  • Work with Director to ensure individual and team productivity targets are being maintained as established by Thrive.
  • Provide orientation to new team members and ensure proper standards are met for the provision of services (i.e. QMHP).
  • Monitor clinical documentation of assigned team members to ensure client documents are in accordance with Thrive standards for quality, and submitted within established timeframes.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision in accordance with BHDDH Rules and Regulations.
  • Create and promote effective working relationships among team and colleagues
  • Work collaboratively as part of a department/team to facilitate the program’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and facilitate a positive flow of communication within the team, other programs and staff at Thrive as a whole.
  • Assist Director in monitoring staff adherence to Thrive policies and procedures.
  • Conduct emergency crisis assessments on adults, children and adolescents on site and in the community and complete all required documentation.
  • Collect data required for grants as needed.
  • Uphold clinical care standards to ensure high quality service to clients.
  • Embrace trauma informed principles, guiding relationships with both staff and clients.
  • Assist Director in recruiting and hiring new staff.
  • Maintain responsibility for completing performance evaluations, including routine monitoring of staff performance and performance improvement plans, as indicated.
  • Identify individual training needs for team members and staff growth or need for re-mediation.
  • Manage scheduling for Mobile Crisis Team and coverage to maintain 24/7 mobile crisis availability.
  • Provide On-Call Administrative back-up to NEIT as needed.
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive’s Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.
