About The Position
An Emergency Room Technician provides basic care based on individual patient needs within the scope of practice to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role must maintain an environment that is prepared for patient care.
Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent is required
- Current Certification in VA-EMTBasic, EMT-Enhanced, EMTAdvanced, EMT-I, or EMT-P
- Must have current BLS certification
- Proficiency with medical terminology
- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Additional language proficiencies are preferred
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills
