Position Summary As an ED Tech, you will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, assisting medical providers and licensed nurses in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. This role is vital in supporting the fast-paced environment of a Level 1 Trauma Center. Ministry/Facility Information Saint Francis Hospital has been an anchor institution in Connecticut since 1897. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Current AHA BLS CPR Certification required
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- EMT-B, Medical Assistant, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
- Acute care experience in an ED setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and elimination needs
- Support admission, discharge, and transfer processes
- Perform phlebotomy and EKGs (if certified)
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff
- Stock supplies and ensure equipment readiness
- Attend dysrhythmia training and pass required assessments
