About The Position

The Tech works in a 48 bed, full-service Emergency Department, treating all ages. This role assumes the responsibility for assisting with the implementation of supportive clinical care. This includes strong clinical skills, clerical/courier duties, stocking, transporting, performing EKG’s, phlebotomy, IV’s and specific patient care duties. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Vocational/Technical School/Diploma.
• Completion of an approved ENP-P or EMT-I course, Nursing Assistant course, documented training and experience as an armed services medic/corpsman, or documentation of final year in approved nursing program leading to RN.
• State of Florida EMT, EMT-P, CNA, MA License (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (preferred).
