About The Position

Are you a motivated leader ready to make an impact? Yoakum Community Hospital is seeking an RN Charge Nurse to join our team. We offer Full-Time, Regular Part-Time, and PRN shifts based on current availability.
As an RN at YCH, you will lead the delivery of high-quality clinical care through the following actions:
Clinical Excellence & Assessment: Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including admission databases within 24 hours, and conduct regular rounds to adjust care plans based on patient condition changes.
Patient Advocacy & Care Planning: Serve as a patient advocate, involving families in the creation and daily evaluation of individualized care plans while maintaining strict HIPAA confidentiality.
Expert Intervention: Demonstrate competency in all procedures and age-appropriate medication administration within your scope of practice.
Effective Communication: Act as a central point of contact for the healthcare team, documenting all interventions and communicating clinical findings to practitioners and family members.
Leadership & Teamwork: Serve as a role model and resource for nursing staff, maintaining a "team-first" mentality and assisting with staffing or temporary reassignments when needed.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all nursing processes meet state and federal regulations, participate in continuous quality improvement, and adhere to hospital policies.
Patient Experience: Respond promptly to call bells with a calm, courteous demeanor, ensuring a dignified and respectful environment for every patient.
Resource Management: Effectively utilize manpower, equipment, and supplies to provide efficient, top-tier care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
• Currently licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as a registered nurse
• CPR, ACLS, PALS or ENPC & TNCC certifications required
• Minimum one year experience preferred
