Serve as a welcoming, professional first point of contact for patients and families in a hospital setting, helping set a positive tone during what may be a stressful time Greet, register, and assist patients upon arrival while ensuring privacy, dignity, and comfort Accurately update and maintain patient demographic information in accordance with hospital policies and HIPAA guidelines Verify insurance eligibility and coverage to support timely admissions and continuity of care Collect co‑pays and process payments accurately and respectfully Obtain required patient consents, including in‑person, telephone, and judicial authorizations, following hospital procedures Scan, upload, and manage documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system to ensure complete and compliant records Collaborate closely with nursing units, clinical teams, admissions, and ancillary departments to support hospital operations Document all patient and family interactions with accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail Facilitate patient admissions and transfers across hospital units and pavilion locations Remain flexible and responsive in a dynamic healthcare environment, performing additional duties as assigned to meet patient care needs Emergency Room Monday -Friday and every other weekend ( 40 hour work weeks!) 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
