About The Position

Patient Centered Services is seeking an experienced Travel ER Registered Nurse to join a high-acuity Emergency Department in Washington, DC. This fast-paced environment requires a confident and skilled RN with strong trauma experience who is comfortable working as a bedside trauma nurse and managing diverse patient populations.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Washington, DC (Required)
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (Required)
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room experience (Required)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Cerner experience (Required)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from Washington, DC to qualify for travel status
• Must be comfortable working in trauma settings and handling high patient acuity
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department
• Serve as bedside trauma RN in the trauma room when needed
• Manage patient ratios up to 1:5
• Perform advanced critical care interventions including medication titration, arterial line monitoring, mass transfusion protocols, and chest tube management
• Deliver care to a wide range of patients including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and trauma/critical care cases
• Coordinate and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
• Promote a positive patient experience while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced setting
• Accurately document care using Cerner EMR system
