About The Position

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a permanent opportunity in Ocala, Florida. The Emergency Room RN is a critical member of the care team, providing rapid assessment and treatment for patients presenting with conditions ranging from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies. This role requires strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to manage multiple high-acuity cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for the position you are applying for.
• Florida RN license or valid multistate compact license required (Florida licensure required within 60 days if compact).
• Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last 2–3 years) acute care RN experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment start date.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course required within 6 months of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification required within 6 months of employment start date.

Nice To Haves

• Emergency Department, ICU, or PCU experience preferred.
• Paramedic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on patient condition and clinical priorities.
• Manage multiple patients simultaneously while continuously reassessing and prioritizing care needs.
• Provide follow-up care instructions and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Maintain a patient-centered, safety-focused approach in all aspects of care delivery.
