About The Position

The Emergency Room Nurse Manager at Parkridge Soddy-Daisy ER is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through effective oversight of daily operations and staffing within the emergency department. This role involves monitoring nursing care, adhering to established policies, and holding staff accountable for clinical outcomes, all while supporting the facility's objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN diploma required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Tennessee or compact state required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Minimum 1 year of related clinical leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high quality, patient-centered care in the emergency department.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Manage staffing needs, including interviewing, hiring, and training new staff members.
  • Oversee patient care on the unit, providing support and expertise to staff.
  • Maintain overall workflow of the unit by ensuring proper staff levels.
  • Manage and coordinate all unit activities, including safety procedures and department operations.
  • Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and counseling to department employees.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery.
