About The Position

Department Radiologists Denver Health, the premier safety net institution for the city of Denver and entire Rocky Mountain region, in collaboration with the University of Colorado, is seeking an emergency radiologist at the level of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor, depending on level of experience. The ideal candidate will have a record of clinical excellence, strong teaching abilities, and scholarly interests. Responsibilities for the role include clinical radiology practice; nurturing a robust and growing educational program for students, residents, and fellows; and participating in a research or scholarship portfolio which may include clinical, health care delivery, and/or education research. This position is for in-person evening ED radiology coverage, 7 consecutive days on and 14 days off!

Requirements

• M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent medical degree
• Board certification in Radiology
• Fellowship training preferred with experience in emergency radiology, neuroradiology, and body imaging
• Eligibility for licensure in Colorado
• Competent in all imaging modalities, including basic fluoroscopy
• Competent in interpreting general ED studies in on-call environment, including radiography, CT, US, and MRI modalities

• Prior record of academic or educational scholarship
• Experience in teaching students and/or trainees

Responsibilities

• Clinical radiology practice

• Participating in a research or scholarship portfolio which may include clinical, health care delivery, and/or education research
• Interpretation of emergency and inpatient radiology services, including MR, CT, US, radiography, and occasional fluoroscopy
• Providing advanced, cutting edge, and highly collaborative care in the acute setting
• Participating in the education of University of Colorado medical students, radiology and IR/DR residents, and fellows
