About The Position

Lowell General Hospital, in partnership with Tufts Medicine's Physician Organization, is seeking a board-eligible/certified psychiatrist to join the Emergency Psychiatry Service. This full-time role involves providing psychiatric consultations in the Emergency Department and managing a 23-bed Psychiatric Emergency Unit. The psychiatrist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality psychiatric care and will also engage in the training of medical students and residents, with opportunities for research.

Requirements

• Completion of a psychiatry residency in an ACGME approved residency program.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Adult Psychiatry.
• Must obtain and maintain a medical license in the State of MA.
• Valid DEA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric consultations in the Emergency Department.
• Manage a 23-bed Psychiatric Emergency Unit.
• Collaborate with the Division Chief of Consultation-Liaison and Psychiatric Emergency Services.
• Conduct clinical and didactic training for medical students and residents.
• Engage in research opportunities for those interested.
