About The Position

As a clinical consultant, responsible for comprehensive Behavioral Health assessment, evaluation, and recommendations for care for patients in the Emergency Departments and elsewhere as needed, and coordinating health services between the hospital, community and home setting. Provides Behavioral Health assessment and crisis intervention to psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department, and elsewhere as needed. Collaborates with the ED attending provider and psychiatrist to develop recommendations for the next level of care for psychiatric patients seen in consultation. Recommends and documents psychiatric plan for disposition for psychiatric patients in the Emergency Department. Provides regular updates to ED team who implement the plan of care while in the ED. Provides direction to the Crisis Intervention Associates. Communicates with patients, families, colleagues and management regarding applicable plan of care.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work or Clinical Counseling required.
  • At least 3 years of previous Social Work or Counseling experience.
  • LCSW-C or LCPC licensure required.
