Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: El Paso, TX Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: ASAP – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible schedule COVERAGE DATES Start Date: ASAP End Date: Ongoing Coverage requested due to departmental restructure and ongoing coverage needs PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: All ages Patient Volume/Census: TBD Admissions: Yes Rounding: Not Included Phone Consults: As clinically appropriate Case Mix: General emergency medicine FACILITY INFORMATION Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped emergency departments Specialty Backup Available: Inpatient and surgical specialties Support Staff Available: Nursing and emergency department staff Reason for Coverage: Department restructure and coverage support PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Emergency department evaluations and management Stabilization and treatment of acute and emergent conditions JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Texas medical license Board: Board Certification preferred in Emergency Medicine DEA: Active DEA required Certifications: As required for emergency medicine privileges Experience: Emergency medicine experience required Other Qualifications: Ability to work across multiple hospital campuses if needed DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care in a hospital emergency department Manage a wide range of acute and emergent patient presentations Collaborate with nursing staff and consulting services Respond to emergency situations promptly and effectively Document all patient care accurately and timely
Requirements
- Active Texas medical license
- Active DEA required
- As required for emergency medicine privileges
- Emergency medicine experience required
- Ability to work across multiple hospital campuses if needed
