About The Position

The Department of Emergency Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), a major teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is seeking an academic Emergency Medicine attending physician to join our faculty in Boston, MA. The candidate will be appointed to the faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated academic Emergency Medicine physician to advance clinical excellence, scholarly inquiry, and medical education within a world-class academic medical center. The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions. Requirements

  • MD or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board certification (or eligibility) in Emergency Medicine.
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic emergency medicine, with interests in areas such as medical education, clinical innovation, health equity, operations, research, or quality and safety.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative spirit.
  • Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure.
