About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Emergency Medicine Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Opportunity Details: Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exams, and treat patients of all ages who present in the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition. Provide comprehensive and quality care to the patients. Work collaboratively with nursing, as well as other clinical services in the hospital. Complete all assigned administrative tasks/charts, as required by the Department, as well as the hospital. Provide clinical teaching and oversights for Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students. Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME, as well as taking part in regular Departmental teaching activities.

Requirements

Active and unrestricted NYS medical license
Board Certification or Eligibility in Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities

Assess, evaluate, diagnose, perform history and physical exams, and treat patients of all ages who present in the Emergency Department with any symptom, illness, injury, or condition.
Provide comprehensive and quality care to the patients.
Work collaboratively with nursing, as well as other clinical services in the hospital.
Complete all assigned administrative tasks/charts, as required by the Department, as well as the hospital.
Provide clinical teaching and oversights for Residents, Fellows, and Medical Students.
Must be up to date with clinical skills and knowledge base by regular CME, as well as taking part in regular Departmental teaching activities.

Benefits

Annual Base Salary: $284,678 (Board Eligible); $290,063 (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $408,665 (Board Eligible) and $414,589 (Board Certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
