Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Paris, TN Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: 03/01/2026 – Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: Flexible Schedule; 24 Hours of Physician Coverage Daily Start Date: March 1, 2026 End Date: Ongoing Coverage Requested Due to Cross Credentialing Shifts Assigned Based on Facility Scheduling Needs Patient Demographics: All Ages Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 17,000 Annual ED Visits Admissions: Yes Rounding: Not Included Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine; Medium Acuity No. of Beds in Department: 142 Beds EMR System: McKesson – Allscripts Office Equipment Available: Fully Equipped Emergency Department Specialty Backup Available: Over 27 Medical Specialties Including Women’s Services, Behavioral Health, Inpatient and Outpatient Services Support Staff Available: 10 Hours of NP/PA Coverage Daily Reason for Coverage: Cross Credentialing Support Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Weekly OT After 168 Hours: Per Contract Terms Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered Evaluation and management of emergency medical conditions across all age groups Stabilization and treatment of medium acuity cases Coordination with specialty services as clinically indicated Licenses: Active Tennessee Medical License Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Board Certification Preferred) DEA: Active Tennessee DEA Required Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required if Not ABEM Certified Experience: Prior Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred Other Qualifications: Must Have State License, Board Certification, and DEA in Hand at Time of Presentation Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a community hospital setting Manage patient flow in a 24 -hour physician coverage model Collaborate with NP/PA providers and multidisciplinary staff Document all encounters accurately within McKesson – Allscripts EMR Ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards

Requirements

  • Active Tennessee Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (Board Certification Preferred)
  • Active Tennessee DEA Required
  • ACLS, ATLS, and PALS Required if Not ABEM Certified
  • Prior Emergency Medicine Experience Preferred
  • Must Have State License, Board Certification, and DEA in Hand at Time of Presentation
  • Evaluation and management of emergency medical conditions across all age groups
  • Stabilization and treatment of medium acuity cases
  • Coordination with specialty services as clinically indicated
