About The Position

Reading Hospital, located in West Reading, PA is seeking a part-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician to join the busiest Emergency Department in Pennsylvania and a very collaborative team of 40+ providers to serve a population of more than 400,000 with comprehensive services and technology. The new physician will be joining an excellent support team of experienced Advanced Practitioners as well as Emergency Medicine Residents. Reading Hospital ED is Pennsylvania's busiest ED with more than 137,000 patients annually, including 30,000 children. The Emergency Department contains 120 beds and features a new self-contained Pediatric Emergency unit with 16 beds. It is a Level I Trauma Center and has a Level III NICU. The position offers abundant teaching, quality improvement, and research opportunities.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree.
• Graduate of Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensed to practice medicine in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including Advanced Practitioners and Emergency Medicine Residents.
• Participate in teaching and training of residents and medical students.
• Engage in quality improvement and research initiatives within the department.
