About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian full time or part time Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hampton, Virginia. As an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant at Hampton VAMC you will not handle Trauma or Peds. The most common diagnosis are chest pains, Gastroenteritis, and COPD Exacerbations. If you are looking for a slower paced, less aggressive ER environment, then Hampton VA is your best bet!

Requirements

• Any active/unrestricted state medical license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program.
• Experience working in an Emergency Room setting, required 24 months with an annual volume of 25k plus.
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a civilian setting.
• Assess and treat patients with common diagnoses such as chest pains, gastroenteritis, and COPD exacerbations.
• Work in a less aggressive ER environment without handling trauma or pediatric cases.
