About The Position
Progressive Emergency Physicians is excited to offer a full-time Physician Assistant position within our Emergency Department team at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, located in West Islip, NY. This role is ideal for new graduates, as fellowship opportunities are available. The hospital is a member of Catholic Health Services of Long Island and serves as a leading healthcare organization in the region. The Emergency Department is a vital part of the hospital, handling approximately 90,000 annual visits and providing comprehensive care for both adult and pediatric patients. As a Level II Trauma Center, the department is equipped to manage a wide range of emergencies, ensuring that patients receive immediate and effective treatment 24/7. The Emergency Department features a collaborative clinical team that includes physicians, nurses, and physician assistants, all trained to respond to urgent medical situations. The department is also supported by a dedicated Trauma Team, a 24/7 cardiac intervention team, and is recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility has recently expanded its services, including the opening of a new 14-bed private Pediatric Emergency Department in the summer of 2020, further enhancing its capacity to care for young patients. Candidates will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that emphasizes teamwork and innovation. The position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $160,000 per year, along with generous benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) match.
