About The Position

Carle Health is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider to join our busy, Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. The position involves evaluating and treating patients with ESI 1-5 in a high-volume environment, with an average of 200-300 patients per day and over 92,000 visits per year. The schedule is variable and rotating, requiring 12-hour shifts with 13-14 shifts per 4-week block, including days, evenings, and overnights. The team is APP friendly, consisting of over 15 APPs, 45 EM Physicians, and on-site ED Pharmacists and ED Social Workers. Coverage is provided by various specialists, ensuring comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure/Physician Assistant licensure
• 1-2 years of APP experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and pharmacists
• Participate in a rotating schedule of 12-hour shifts
