About The Position
HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital is seeking a full-time experienced Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) to join our practice in Fort Pierce, Florida and its Free-Standing Emergency Department in Vero Beach. EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT PROFILE Level II Trauma Center 80,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in pediatric ED 42-bed ED including 5 fast-track plus 5 monitored beds 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED) 60 hours of APP coverage 26% admission rate Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane Interventional cardiac cath facility code ice facility with therapeutic hypothermia capability Several dedicated ED glide scopes and ultrasound 24-hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists High acuity
Requirements
- Must be board-certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Must have at least 12 months of current and consecutive Emergency Medicine experience as an APP
- Must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
