About The Position

The position is with Plainwell Ambulance, operating under Ascension Borgess Pipp Hospital in Plainwell, MI. This is a full-time role with a 24-hour schedule, focusing on providing emergency medical support and care to patients both on scene and during transport. Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Drivers License credentialed from the Michigan Bureau of Motor Vehicles obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Licensed Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support treatment, care and evaluation of patients on scene and during transport.
• Arrive to the scene of an emergency, determine the situation, and develop a plan of action.
• Use appropriate medical equipment and comprehend the severity of the injury.
• Monitor patient condition and perform data collection. Communicate findings and patient condition to primary Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist with the mobilization, ambulation and transport of patients.
