Pay Range $18.50 - $27.75 Major Responsibilities Emergency Medical Response Respond promptly to emergency calls, assess patient conditions, and provide appropriate pre-hospital care in accordance with established protocols. Patient Assessment and Stabilization Perform physical assessments, obtain vital signs, and administer life-saving interventions such as CPR, bleeding control, and airway management. Safe Patient Transport Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring and continuing care en route, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Infection Control and Safety Compliance Adhere to OSHA standards and universal precautions to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious materials. Documentation and Reporting Accurately document patient care, observations, and interventions in electronic or written reports for medical and legal purposes. Equipment Maintenance and Readiness Inspect, clean, and maintain medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for emergency response. Communication and Coordination Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical personnel, and other first responders to coordinate care and ensure continuity. Patient Advocacy and Support Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and families during high-stress situations, maintaining professionalism and empathy. Training and Continuing Education Participate in ongoing training, certifications, and drills to maintain licensure and stay current with medical protocols and procedures. Environmental Awareness and Scene Safety Evaluate and secure emergency scenes to ensure the safety of patients, bystanders, and EMS personnel.
