Emergency Medical Technician
About The Position
Position Summary Reporting directly to the Risk & Safety Supervisor, the EMT responds as necessary to all medical emergencies and requests for aid. Minimizes risk to persons and property while protecting company assets. Essential Functions Responsible for the safety and well-being of guests and fellow team members. May be responsible for attendance at all training workouts and live races to provide any necessary medical assistance. Renders medical assistance as needed or requested. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests Maintains inventory of medical equipment. Safeguards company assets, including team members and guests. Interviews, investigates and documents all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy. Prepares detailed reports as required. Controls and monitors to minimize risk and ensure a safe environment for guests and team members. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies. Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary. Clean the equipment. Check and replace the used and damaged supplies. May assist as first responder to all medical emergencies for jockey injuries and illnesses. Any and all other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 21 years old at time of employment
- Valid driver’s license
- HEP-B series immunizations
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Must possess excellent customer and employee relations skills.
- Professional appearance
- Team player
- High School diploma or GED
- Other certifications as needed
- Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission gaming license
- Maintain current EMS certification
