About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Children's Minnesota will support and care for patients requiring urgent or emergency care under the supervision of licensed personnel. This role involves providing technical support to optimize patient care in a pediatric emergency department, which is a critical component of the health system's commitment to serving children and families in the community.

Requirements

• Current National EMT Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or GED required
• 1-2 years of Emergency Room Technician/EMT or equivalent experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, abbreviations, and hospital procedures preferred
• Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English
• Skills in basic computer operation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a pediatric emergency department
• Familiarity with critical care transport and telehealth services.
