About The Position

A confidential healthcare organization</b> is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)</b> to join its patient transport team. This position ensures the safe and efficient ground transport of patients while delivering the highest standards of care in accordance with state and hospital guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Florida EMT Certification</b> required.
• MediClear certification (or equivalent healthcare compliance credential) is required
• Valid Florida Driver’s License and insurable driving record required.
• Minimum 2 years of driving experience</b> required.
• Completion of a Florida -approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC or NAPD) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely ground ambulance transport for patients of all age groups.
• Perform patient assessment, basic treatment, packaging, and transfer procedures.
• Operate and maintain hospital -owned vehicles in compliance with local and state standards.
• Assist in the trauma center and emergency department when not actively on transport duty.
• Support community outreach and education efforts as a representative of the EMS team.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to organizational, state, and federal regulations.
• Follow all safety, infection -control, and patient care protocols throughout the transport continuum.
