About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician Apprentice (EMT Apprentice) position is designed for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in emergency medical services. This role involves safe transport of non-emergent clients while receiving on-the-job training for Medical Transport Driver and Emergency Medical Technician, along with required coursework for national certification. The apprentice will learn to provide basic life support care and perform team-based care for the sick and injured.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the emergency vehicle in compliance with the Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Code to ensure safe travel.
• Communicate and coordinate with communication center dispatchers, supervisors, and other leaders.
• Care for and maintain equipment and vehicles, reporting any deficiencies.
• Accurately document patient care and transportation.
• Participate in on-the-job training covering various emergency medical topics and skills.
